MONTEGO BAY, St James — Chairman of the Business Process Industry Association of Jamaica (BPIAJ) Yoni Epstein says the organisation will be mounting a public relations campaign aimed at dispelling the notion that workers in the sector are underpaid.
“It is a stigma that we are going to have to continue to fight. It costs much less money to promote from within. There is no question in my mind that there is room for growth for employees that are coming into this sector. And I think we need to showcase it better,” Epstein told the Observer West.
In fact, the BPIAJ head pointed out that salaries in the sector are very competitive and that the existing commission incentive drives the workers to perform.
