Cybercrime is a major source of concern for the financial sector, and National Commercial Bank (NCB) says it is committed to supporting research aimed at developing cyber security policy in Jamaica.
The bank’s commitment was reiterated by NCB Group Managing Director Patrick Hylton as he addressed the second National Conference on Cyber Security and Data Protection held November 20-21 at the University of the West Indies, Mona.
Hylton said the conference, with its focus on computer fraud, data protection and their impact on small and large enterprises, including banks and other financial institutions, had spurred NCB to support the event and its potential to influence cyber security policy through research.
