KINGSTON, Jamaica — Executive chairman of Jamaica’s Bio-Tech R&D Institute Dr Henry Lowe has predicted potential earnings of over US$500 million (J$57 billion) from his company’s collaboration with US-based firm, TruBios.
“The potential earning from this collaboration will be over US$500,000,000 in the next three to five years,” Dr Lowe said, explaining that the retention of earnings would be partly due to capital inputs and product development.
He was speaking at the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the Eden Gardens Wellness Resort and Spa in Kingston Wednesday, between TruBios and Bio-Tech to cooperate on the development of biomedicines.
